CEMETERY RULES & REGULATIONS

Cemetery Visits

Grounds are open daily, year-round from 8:00 a.m. to dusk. Any person on the grounds outside these hours, without permission, will be considered a trespasser and subject to arrest.

Visitors are reminded that these grounds are appropriated for interment of the dead. It is, therefore, indispensable that there should be strict observance of all regulations.

The proprietors of lots, their families and friends shall be allowed access to the grounds, observing the rules which are or may be adopted for the regulation of visitors.

Automobiles must be driven carefully for the protection of pedestrians and equipment. The speed limit of 15 miles per hour will be strictly enforced.

Parking on the grass is prohibited.

Dogs must be leashed at all times.

Picnicking, barbequing, or fire of any kind are strictly prohibited on any part of the cemetery grounds.

There shall be no consumption of food or alcohol on cemetery grounds.

The playing of loud music from any amplifying device is prohibited, unless approved by cemetery personnel as a part of the burial ceremony.

Any music playing must be limited to one instrument (i.e., acoustic guitar, bugle, bag-pipe, etc.), unless otherwise approved by cemetery personnel as part of the burial ceremony.

All persons are prohibited from picking any flowers, leaf or plant, either wild or cultivated, or mutilating any tree, shrub or plant in the cemetery.

All persons are prohibited from skating, boating or swimming in the lake or attempting to harm or scare the water fowl. However, feeding the water fowl at the lake’s edge is permitted.

All persons are prohibited from writing upon, scratching, defacing or damaging any monument, fence or other structure in or belonging to the cemetery.

Hunting, trapping, and the discharge of firearms are strictly prohibited.
